After using the marvellous RWInc Ditty sheets, we found it useful to let some children use these “Odd One Out,” reading sheets. In my classes I have always found children enjoy this type of sheet and they hardly realise how much reading they are employing in order to complete them. It is important to let the pupil try to blend (Fred talk)/read every word as they go and if some need some extra guidance for that, you will soon know that they need the help. Some red words may also be included. I have made lots of these for the other Ditty Sheets and if they prove useful I can put more on TES. They may prove productive for some pupils if your school does not use RWInc. You do not need to use the extension if not suitable of course.

This “gift” cursive letter formation handwriting sheet may be useful at Christmas or other times of the year as it is not always easy to find this style of letter formation. The extension on the bottom could be covered verbally if that was suitable or written if preferred. The colouring could be a challenge for some children, so more or less detail could be required when completing that. It has been useful at Christmas, and may link with our song and video as we remind people about Christmas being a special time of year and caring for others.
